Botox

What Is Botox?

Botox is derived from botulinum toxin, which works by relaxing the treated muscles and causing the wrinkles to soften. In addition, when placed strategically, it can cause your brows to raise subtly, which makes you look awake and refreshed. This is why Esthetic Solutions Med Spa practitioners call themselves “artists.” Your injectors will use Botox as an age-prevention treatment to stop new wrinkles from forming and existing ones from deepening.

We’re not here to just treat you for today. We are here to treat you for the decade!

Before and After (2 weeks apart)

The Way It Works

The best thing about Botox—no one will know you’ve had a treatment done! It gradually works over the next 2–10 days after being injected. This treatment will last, on average, around 90 days. Just like going to the dentist or seeing your hairstylist, Botox must be maintained. Our patients visit us 4 times a year for injections to maintain their optimal look and age with sophistication.

Can I wear makeup to my treatment?
Please arrive makeup-free with clean skin.

How should I prepare for my treatment?
You should AVOID alcoholic beverages for 24 hours before your appointment. Alcohol can thin the blood and increase bruising. You should also AVOID anti-inflammatory and blood-thinning medications in the 2 weeks before treatment.

When should I schedule my treatment if I have events approaching?
You should plan your treatment 7–14 days before an event. It takes some time for the results to fully settle in.

Will I have any side effects?
You may have some initial bruising, although it’s unlikely.

What can I expect before and during treatment?
You will be escorted to the treatment room, where you’ll make yourself comfortable in the chair. Your trained practitioner will review your desired results, treatment options, and our Comfort Menu before treatment begins. Together, the two of you will create a customized treatment plan. Next, treatment will be administered with very small needles. It’s important to follow post-treatment instructions, which will be reviewed before you leave the office.
